This class is a great follow-up to the Beaded Hammered Hoop Earrings Class. In this session, we will review more complex wire wrapping and hammering techniques to create and embellish hammered hoop bases.

Students will work to create two separate looks using similar foundational methods, and will leave the class with two unique pieces of jewelry. We will discuss wire gauge, tools, wire wrapping, hammering and stacking to create current trend jewelry.

A 10% discount will be given for supplies and all purchases made the day of the class.

Happy Birthday to everyone born in May! Your birthstone is the emerald, a gorgeous and bright green gem. Emerald was a powerful stone to many different cultures. The ancient Egyptians believed it symbolized eternal youth, while the ancient Romans associated it with fertility and rebirth. Mr. Zachary has requested to share his personal Art Camp with friends. This session will run from 9am-2pm with a 1 hour lunch and outdoor playtime. The children will discover new art projects and techniques each day. Projects may include tie-dye, recycled art (bottle caps pins, necklaces, robots, legos, jewelry), paper-crafting, paper-mache and loads of fun).

Please pack a lunch for your child and note that they may get messy. You can also signup for a daily rate of $72 / day. Advanced registration is required

The fee includes most materials. We will ask parents to provide t-shirts and other desired items for tie dye.

We have designed our workshops to meet the needs of students of all levels. We will spend four half-day sessions learning a variety of techniques and creating several projects throughout the week. The groups will be split into “Fundamentals” and “Advanced”. Each participant will have the opportunity to work at their own pace. Projects will vary fr0m session to session so the workshops offer a new experience each time. Some of the projects covered will be as follows:

Fundamentals and Fun
Learn to make bracelets, earrings, pins and pendants. We will also work on more advanced techniques to create some trendy repurposed jewelry using resin.
- color, design, layout, tools and materials
- attaching a clasp to create a bracelet
- using wire to make earrings
- decoupage
- weaving and more, as time permits

Advanced Techniques
In our advanced class, we will provide a quick review of the basics. Techniques covered will be as follows:
- color, design, layout, tools and materials
- wire working
- loops, wrapping and linking
- wire wrapped rings
- twisted branch or coiling technique
- working with paper, punches, resin and found objects (bottle caps, Scrabble Tiles and paper)Ages: 10+
