Crochet Necklace Class

Learn the basic chain stitch and key techniques to create a single-strand beaded necklace or wrap bracelet using either wire or cotton to mimic popular designer jewelry.

If you do not complete the necklace during class, you are welcome to use our community table to continue working. In this class, you will create two rings: (1) a modern ring using a focal bead or button and (2) a ring using a flat stone or bead. We will cover basic wire-working techniques, gauge and tools. You will also learn how to use a ring mandrel and create rings in specific sizes.

Wire Working: Briolette Wrapped Earrings or Necklace Class

In this class, you can make a beautiful pair of earrings or necklace using an intermediate wire-wrapping and briolette wrapping techniques. We will discuss types of wire, wire gauge and key tools (round-nose pliers, flat-nose pliers, cutters and nylon pliers).

We will review design concepts and learn to work with wire, chain, briolettes and beads to make a stunning piece.

The use of tools and hand-outs are included in the class fee. Materials are additional and selections will be made during class time. 10% off all purchases made on the date of the class.

Beaded Hammered Hoop Earrings Class

You can't beat it!

In this class, students will create a beautiful pair of earrings that are wrapped in delicate beads by using pre-shaped hoops. Learn about the basics of wire gauge, tools, wire wrapping and even hammering techniques to wrap beads directly onto hammered wire.

Advanced beaders who have completed a Briolette Wrapping class can try their hand at making the hoop.

Students also will see examples of how hammered rings can be used in a variety of jewelry making projects, such as chain necklaces or bracelets. A 10% discount will be given for supplies and all purchases made the day of the class.
