Class time will be used to show you how to make a pair of woven earrings, but the technique can be used to create pendants, bib necklaces, cuff bracelets, and more. In this first session, we will also introduce basic techniques and terms that will be used throughout the Seed Bead Weaving Series.

Learn to make these stunning wrap bracelets using Swarovski crystals, chain or everyday found objects. In this class, we will demonstrate all you need to know to make these bracelets and you will complete at least one single wrap sample of each. You are welcome to attempt a multi-wrap but please note that you may not finish during class.

Bottle Cap Jewelry

Bottle Cap Jewelry Class

Create one of kind pins, magnets, rings, earrings or pendants using recycled bottle caps, papers, magazines, photos and found objects. You will learn how to cure your piece to prevent distortion as well as how to prepare a non-toxic jeweler’s resin to preserve your piece. A number of techniques and tips will be covered.

Bottle caps and resin are provided. Students are welcome to bring additional materials including papers and found objects. These can also be purchased at Abeille at a 10% discount along with any findings to transform your bottle caps into pins, rings, pendants, cuff links or earrings.

Please note that resin needs 24 hours to cure so it’s best to leave your materials over night to dry.

Multiple Strand Necklace Class

Once you’ve completed the “Beginner Basics” class, take it to the next level and work with multiple strands. In this class, we’ll focus on creating multi-strand necklaces using strung beads, chain, ribbon and/or leather. You’ll learn to work with jump rings, ribbon ends, fold over crimp ends, mix chains, add beads and make extensions. The completion of one of the following beginner classes is strongly recommended to participation in this class: Beginner Basics.

Pearl and Leather Necklace or Bracelet Demo Class

The Abeille team is offering a discounted hands-on demonstration to complete this amazing piece.

This item can be worn either as a necklace or as a multi-layer bracelet (my personal favorite). You will make a 56″ necklace and we will cover basic wire working techniques which will also give you the skills needed to make earrings and pendants in the future.

Materials are additional and we ask that you purchase materials from Abeille. We will help you with leather and bead selections and a 10% discount will be given on this date.

You are also welcome to purchase one of our project cards for $5. They are great reference materials.

Earring Basics Class

This class will focus on the simple loop technique which is the foundation for earrings. We will also cover earring design, material selection, tools and assembly. All are key parts in making beautiful earrings.

Students will complete a minimum of one pair of earrings and as many as time allows.

Make a day of it! Feel free to move from our classroom to our craft table where you can use our tools and put your skills to the test for the remainder of the day. Snacks and beverages are welcome.
